Who are we looking for? An experienced Operations Manager who will manage one of our major operations departments in our Mohave Valley, Arizona Regional Distribution Center. Mohave Valley is about 90 minutes east of Las Vegas and about three hours from Phoenix. Surrounding towns include Bullhead City, AZ, Kingman, AZ, and Laughlin, NV.
Responsibilities of the Operations Manager will include:
Department Operations Execution
Responsible to direct staff to achieve operating results for a specific Department within the Regional Operations Center
Deliver products & services to meet Customer requirements in terms of quantity, quality & service.
Manage department expenses within budget guidelines.
Planning & Scheduling
Plans production & labor for all areas of the department to ensure delivery requirements are met, resource utilization and labor productivity are maximized
People Management, Training, Safety
Hires, develops & trains department personnel to ensure sufficient & qualified workforce is available
Implements safety programs to minimize incidents, worker compensation claims
Operations Process Improvement
Develops & implements quality & service improvement programs to ensure consistent quality & service delivery that meet Customer expectations
Develops & implements productivity programs to maximize operating efficiencies


Requirements:

Still Interested? You will need to have a B.S. Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration or related field along with five plus (5) years experience in one or a combination of the following functions: Operations Management, Process Improvement Consulting, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or other relevant function. An MBA/CPA is preferred. You will also need to have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a similar role. A strong understanding of various finance and accounting processes, technologies, and reporting requirements to support profitability analysis and reporting needs and a strong functional knowledge of management reporting, cost management, cost accounting, scorecards and KPIs is required. Other required skill sets include:
Strong MS Suite skills including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
ERP (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, JD Edwards) experience is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality required
Ability to understand and accurately communicate various finance and accounting processes, technologies, and reporting requirements to support profitability analysis and reporting needs.
Strong detail oriented and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
